Learn PowerPoint Design in Manchester

Calling all recent design graduates!

 

 

Looking for that first step in your design career and the opportunity to move to London? Well you’ve come to the right place.

We’re hosting a free and comprehensive PowerPoint design training course in Manchester in January and February 2020.

With six intensive sessions over three weeks, you’ll quickly learn the ins and outs of presentation design, with the opportunity on course completion to join our team full-time, based in Manchester or London.

Who are you?
Ideally, you’re a recent graduate. You’ll be just starting or relatively new in your career, with a professional design qualification, preferably a degree.

We expect all applicants to have a good knowledge of Adobe tools and a working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.

What’s the opportunity?
Article Ten will host a short course on PowerPoint presentation design, compiled of six sessions over three weeks.

We’re looking for six designers to join the course and are aiming to offer at least two of the candidates a full-time role upon completion.

However, we’re absolutely interested in design lovers from all backgrounds, so if you think you have what it takes, we’re keen to hear from you.

A full-time role?
For successful candidates who have received and accepted a job offer with Article Ten, the starting salary will be £18-20,000 with a clear path to promotion within two years.

Any job offers will initially be based in Manchester. However, the candidate(s) may then opt to stay in Manchester or move to our London office (near Old Street) upon completion of their probation period (approx. 3 months).

What’s the plan?
This unique training opportunity will be led by Article Ten’s Senior Presentation Designer, whose passion for PowerPoint you can explore on our blog.

Basic syllabus:
Week 1 Day 1: PPT template masters
Week 1 Day 2: Designing for PPT specs
Week 1 Day 3: Remote task
Week 2 Day 1: The use of boilerplates
Week 2 Day 2: Animating and embedding
Week 2 Day 3: Remote task
Week 3 Day 1: Interactivity
Week 3 Day 2: Putting it to the test!
Week 3 Day 3: Remote task

By the end of the training you will have:
• Built a pre-designed master template.
• Designed and built your own PowerPoint template, including a set of boilerplates.
• Fully re-designed and animated a corporate deck.
• Produced a highly creative and interactive ‘app’ style deck to be used on iPads.
• Learned how to design engaging slides with dynamic animation and all the tips and tricks for embedding media and exporting PowerPoints as various file types.

2020 dates: 28th January, 30th January, 4th February, 6th February, 11th February, 13th February
Training course times: 10am – 5pm, with a one-hour break for lunch

Any extra info?
All candidates will be expected to complete all of the training days/tasks and should be able to commit to them all.

Students should ideally supply their own laptop with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft PowerPoint. If this won’t be possible, please make a note of this on your application and we will supply hardware for lease.
